The main activity of Baltpool is to function as an international biomass exchange, in which trade auctions of standardized biomass products take place. In Lithuania, Baltpool also organizes timber and heat auctions, as well as administering funds for services of public interest in the electricity sector. The vision of the company is to be the number one choice for sustainable biomass trading in Europe.
Baltpool is a part of Lithuania‘s state-owned EPSO-G energy transmission and exchange group. All of biomass exchange operations are licensed and supervised by the National Energy Regulatory Council (NERC).
The mission of Baltpool is to develop a platform, that enables sustainable and efficient bioenergy.
