Biomass and heat trade statistics June of 2022
- BWCS (Baltpool Wood Chips SPOT) LT index value reached 29.30 Eur/MWh in June. Compared to the value in May, the index has recorded a growth of 20%, and compared to the results of the previous year, the index value is 142% higher;
- The total amount of biomass delivered, compared to May, increased by 2% to 318,670 MWh (70.3% was delivered under short-term contracts). Compared to the corresponding period last year, the amount of delivered biomass increased by 10%;
- The average price of short-term transactions concluded in Estonia was 27.00 Eur/MWh;
- The average price of short-term transactions concluded in Latvia was 37.53 Eur/MWh.

HEAT AUCTION STATISTICS
- In June 2022, an auction was held for the purchase of heat quantities for July 2022.
- The weighted average heat purchase price was 2.44 ct/kWh and was 14% lower than the heat supplied for the month of June (2.83 ct/kWh). Compared to the same period last year, the price is 105% higher (1.19 ct/kWh).
- For the month of July, the amount of heat purchased amounted to 172,838 MWh – this is 1% more than the amount of heat purchased for the month of June, and compared to the results of the same period last year, the amount of purchased heat decreased by 2%.
