Draft Amendment to the Energy Exchange Regulations Submitted for Approval

Please be informed that the exchange operator BALTPOOL UAB:

• Contacted the National Accreditation Bureau and initiated a review of accredited laboratories^[1];
• Conducted a biomass quality study in five laboratories^[2];
• Concludes SM3 quality biomass product study^[3];
• Draft amendments to the Typical conditions for the supply of biomass^[4][5];

and, taking into account the results of the verification and investigations, the comments and suggestions of the Exchange Participants, has drafted an amendment to the provisions of the Energy Exchange Regulation, adjusting the application of discounts for exceeding the higher possible value specified in the biomass product specification. The draft has been submitted to the National Energy Regulatory Council for expedited review and the public consultation will run until 7 March 2025.
