Biomass and heat trade statistics July of 2021
- The value of the BWCS (Baltpool Wood Chips SPOT) LT index has reached 13.77 EUR/MWh. Compared to its value in June, the index has increased by 13.8%, and compared to the results of the same period last year, the value of the index has increased by 66%.
- Compared to the results of June, the total amount of delivered biomass has decreased by 4.8% to 232,795 MWh (88.5% of the amount was delivered under short-term contracts). Compared to the same period last year, the amount of delivered biomass has decreased by 26%.
- In preparation for the upcoming heating season, participants of the exchange have already concluded contracts for the supply of 279,930 MWh of biomass for the next heating season at an average price of 14.69 EUR/MWh. 4.5 times more long-term contracts were concluded during the same period last year.
- The price of concluded contracts is higher by 36.3% than the average biomass supply price of the previous heating season.
