January 2016 BALTPOOL biomass exchange trade overview
Despite the growing demand, the woodchips prices in the biomass exchange in January dropped.
In January, the buyers that had ordered the supply of biomass in advance once again paid the lowest prices:
The average price of woodchips supplied under long-term contracts was approximately 13% lower and amounted to 143 EUR/TOE, while the buyers that had purchased biomass under one-week contracts in January on average paid 165 EUR/TOE. The average price of woodchips under all contracts in January was 154 EUR/TOE.
