Market Makers Program is starting today

In order to develop a Europe-operating biomass trading platform, the Energy Exchange Baltpool launches a Market Makers Program. This program is available upon submission of a request to all exchange members having trading sites in regions where the total quantity of the biomass traded in the exchange is less than 175,000 MWh (15,000 TOE) per year, or 30% of the biomass demand for the heating season of the region‘s exchange participants heating installations using biomass.
Market maker is a biomass exchange participant who undertakes to place orders at each trading auction, accordingly ensuring liquidity of the energy exchange.
It is expected that the Market Makers Program in the new regions will allow to demonstrate the benefits provided by the biomass exchange for market participants faster and more efficiently and encourage them to trade actively.
