Timber Exchange trade statistics August of 2022

- In August, State Forest Enterprise (SFE) announced 106 auctions. They offered a total of 54.93 thousand. m3 of timber products. Compared to July, the amount of timber offered increased by 53%, and the share of timber sold increased by 22%. Auctions were organized by 21 units of SFE.
- In August, the wood SPOT index recorded an index value of 81.50 Eur/m3. Comparing the value of the index with the corresponding period last year, a growth of 32% is visible. Compared to July – 6% growth.
- The most significant price changes were recorded in firewood and paper log assortments, the prices of which increased by 15% and 12%, respectively (up to 80.50 Eur/m3 for firewood and 86.05 Eur/m3 for paper logs). Comparing the price with the same period of last year, the growth reaches 133% for paper logs and 132% for firewood.
